A Global Crescendo: Women’s Voices from Conflict Zones, a collaboration between the International Rescue Committee and writer and photographer Ann Jones, is a special exhibit featuring women’s voices and photographs taken by survivors of conflict from Liberia, Sierra Leone and Cote d’Ivoire.
The exhibition was curated by Art Center alumna Stephanie Sigg (Environmental Design, 1998). Based in New York, Stephanie works closely with us as a liaison with the UN and as a mentor to our Designmatters Fellows, a role she describes as “extremely gratifying to expose students to real projects, where their ability as designers and artists enables them to create social change while solving problems.”
Exhibition dates: October 20 – October 31, 2008
Location: United Nations Secretariat, South Lobby
