Open to Grades 9-12
Learn how art can be used to captivate others and to show how it can be used as a tool for activism. With a research based platform, expand your creative mind and build technical skills that will be the background for conversations around art and social change. Thorough artists like Shepard Fairey, Wendy MacNaughton, and Kara Walker, explore how to best express your ideas in a succinct and understandable image. Learn and develop problem solving skills as well as pushing composition and focusing on the hierarchy of images and words. Estimated cost of materials: $50
