In this time of transition, Designmatters is pleased to welcome Sherry Hoffman as our Senior Educational Liaison.

In this role, Sherry will be dedicating her professional experience, educational expertise, and counsel to the department each week. She will focus on preserving the curricular and pedagogical rigor associated with the department, while we search for a new successor for Designmatters’ former Vice President, Mariana Amatullo, and while our Director, Jennifer May, is on maternity leave.

Sherry is a co-founder and brand strategist at March Studio, which creates branded architecture with purpose. Sherry leverages her professional experience in strategy, design, and social impact in the classroom as well. Sherry has taught a number of Designmatters TDS studios, including The Girl Effect and Imagining the Future of the Barbie Dreamhouse, was a key faculty lead in the 2013 LEAP Symposium, and is a lead facilitator for DesignStorms.

She recently developed Brandmatters, an academic class that considers the role and responsibility of designers and explores the possibility of brands as a positive force in society.

Sherry brings a critical perspective and consistent strategic approach to her professional and academic work, creating insights that add value and meaning.

Please join us in welcoming Sherry to Designmatters!
