IDEO.org recently announced its Fellowship Class of 2014 and Art Center Alumna Mariana Prieto (Product Design + DM Concentration ’12) is one of the select few. Out of 444 applicatons, only 7 were chosen for this prestigious fellowship.
Mariana Prieto is a design evangelist. She uses empathy, creativity, and practicality as a base to explore innovative solutions that can positively impact the quality of life for a community. As a teacher, strategist, and product designer, Mariana has leveraged design as a tool to inform and iterate upon existing systems around the world.
The IDEO.org Fellowship Program fosters design leaders of the future. Basically, it’s a mash-up of wildly passionate and talented people from the design, business and social sectors: three IDEO designers and a collection of promising leaders from around the globe. For twelve months, these Fellows are working, learning, growing and innovating to make the world a better place.
