The Designmatters Fellowship program embeds ArtCenter students in impactful organizations to work on social innovation design projects and initiatives for one full academic term.

Designmatters will be hosting a Summer 2019 Fellowship with The Lab at the Office of Personnel Management in Washington, D.C.

The Lab at OPM is seeking ArtCenter students from Gx, IXD (5th Term and above) as well as graduate students from MDP, Grad ID, Grad Gx and Grad Trans. International students and students graduating this term are eligible.

As part of the Federal Executive Institute within the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), The Lab at OPM (The Lab) teaches human-centered design across the Federal Government and helps deliver innovative solutions that address complex cross-sector challenges.

Location: Washington, DC

Duration: 10 weeks spanning from June – August, 2019

Stipend: $10,000 to offset living expenses

You will need to submit a resume, short cover letter, and portfolio with 2-3 examples of your work.

Skype interviews to take place during Week 11.

 

Please note the duration of the Fellowship is 10 weeks (flexible between June-August 2019), and the selected student will be awarded a stipend of $10,000. The Fellow will be stationed in The Lab’s Washington, D.C. office.
