Art Center alumna Wendy MacNaughton (Fine Art/Design ’99) recently published an illustrated book entitled “Meanwhile, in San Francisco: The City in its Own Words.” In this collection of illustrated documentaries, Wendy pays homage to the city of San Francisco, through a series of drawings that show a variety of San Francisco natives in their respective neighborhoods. The illustrations are accompanied by quotes of her subjects that give the drawings a beautiful, yet playful realness.
Wendy describes the book as, “A real, actual paper book that you can buy, read, draw on, make notes in, tear pages out of and leave on top of a mailbox for someone else to pick up.”
