15 Years of Partnerships: USC Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab

The leadership, faculty, and students of Designmatters have profoundly influenced our work at the USC Brittingham Social Enterprise Lab and how we see ourselves as agents of social change. Over the years, as the Marshall School of Business has participated in Safe Agua and Designmatters faculty have mentored us in the creation of Social Innovation Design Lab, we have inspired each other to push the boundaries of our respective disciplines and consider new possibilities for impact. As standard-bearers of design for impact, Designmatters has pointed us toward ideas and institutions that have informed our curricular offerings and laid a foundation for our own contributions to the field. We share expertise, stories, best practices, professors, and students — and we are both the richer for it. In the competitive world of academia, it is rare to cultivate such a deep and mutually beneficial partnership. Happy 15 years, Designmatters. We stand in awe of your transformative leadership and are grateful for your generosity.
