Nidhi Singh Rathore is a South Asian designer and researcher who applies design methodologies to reimagine civic engagement. Her multidisciplinary and value-centered practice focuses on deconstructing nebulous concepts, bringing people together, and breaking down complex problems—for better and equitable services. She leads civic design at Montgomery County and formerly worked for Los Angeles Innovation Team. She lends her research expertise to Stanford Impact Labs in her spare time and enjoys existential discussions about the role of design in our daily life. Her practice is built upon advocacy, civic engagement, and social issues such as housing insecurity, equity in opportunity, and social media economies. Nidhi is a graduate of Art Center College of Design and got a B.Des. in Visual Communication from the National Institute of Design, India.
